How to Put and Play MKV HD Video to Galaxy S II?

Does Samsung Galaxy S II play MKV HD 1080p video? How to put MKV to Galaxy S II?

Despite a few complaints, the Samsung Galaxy S II hits all the high notes, making the unlocked handset Samsung's most advanced and successful smartphone to date. The Samsung Galaxy S II comes up with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and has a speedy dual-core processor, a large, gorgeous display, 4G capability, and excellent cameras. As with the original Galaxy S, the GS2 is a very capable media player. It plays MPEG4, H.264, H.263, WMV, DivX, Xvid, VC-1 video up to 1080p at 30fps, including MKV HD 1080p videos in H.264 codec. Unable to play MKV HD video on Galaxy S II? Check the file information and you'll find the video codec is not H.264. In that case you'll need a Samsung Galaxy S II Video Converter. By converting you can turn MKV HD video to Galaxy S II supported codec and reduce file size. The Galaxy S II can not handle MKV video of very high bitrate- it's an Android smartphone rather than a HD video player- and you can also use the convert to cut bitrate down. Follow the guide below to convert MKV HD video to Samsung Galaxy S.

Step 1: Free download Pavtube Samsung Galaxy S II Video Converter, install and launch it. Once run the program, click "Add" button to load MKV HD files to Galaxy S II Video Converter.

Step 2: Select output format for Samsung Galaxy S II. Now that Galaxy S II support MPEG4, H.264, H.263, WMV, DivX, Xvid, and VC-1 codec, you can click on the dropdown list of Format boarder and follow "Common Video" and select DivX .avi, H.264 .mp4, MPEG-4 .mp4, H.264 .mkv and VC-1 .wmv format. H.264 .mp4 is recommended.

Step 3: Convert MKV HD video for Samsung Galaxy S II playback. Click "Convert" to convert MKV files to selected format. When encoding H.264 video, Pavtube Video Converter takes advantage of CUDA acceleration tech if an NVIDIA CUDA compatible graphics card is in access. This can improve conversion speed up to 3-5 times faster.

The app supports batch conversion, so you can add multiple MKV HD video for converting to Samsung Galaxy S II videos. After conversion click "Open" to locate videos and there you can easily transfer/put HD MKV videos to Galaxy S II.

How to set bitrate down: In step 2, click "Settings" set bitrate ranges from 1000kbps to
4000kbps in "Bitrate" of Video parameters. The higher bitrate you set the bigger file size it creates.

[MXF to FCP X]edit Canon XF 100 MXF files to Final Cut Pro X

For Mac users, Final Cut Pro is one of the most famous video editing software. With its recent refreshment, Apple completely redesigned the app that made it faster and simpler. The new features of FCP X is much similar to iMovie, it supports importing videos, audios and images as clips in events. You may even full copy iMovie event folder for using in FCP X.

Final Cut Pro X supports importing directly from a large amount of popular camcorders or digital still cameras. But for Canon XF 100 MXF footage, it doesn’t work. You need to convert the recorded video to FCP X supported format to import, such as MOV or MP4 in H.264 codec. I recommend you Pavtube Canon XF 100 to FCP X Converter for Mac.

This program helps you encode your clips with Apple ProRes 422 (FCP 6 or above is recommended), Apple ProRes 4444 (*.mov), Rewrap (*.mov), DV-PAL (*.MOV), Apple InterMedia Codec (*.mov), Avid DNxHD (*.mov), DVCPRO50-PAL/NTSC (*.mov), etc. Then you can import the output files in Final Cut Pro X directly with out rendering, but you should make sure you select the right codec and parameters to encode.

Now please follow the guide to realize converting Canon XF 100 MXF footage to Apple Prores 422:

Step 1. Install and run this MXF to Final Cut Pro X converter, add your video files.

Step 2. Click on “Format”, select “Final Cut Pro” category, then choose “Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov)”.

Tips. The video and codecs are all from the FCP X you installed into your Mac, so the output quality is FCP X level.

Step 3. Start converting mxf to FCP X by clicking “convert”.

When the process is finished, import the converted video file to FCP X for editing. Hope this article on How to Import MXF footage to Final Cut Pro X for editing helps.
